The J-1 Exchange Visitor Program (J-1 Visa Program) consists of 13 different exchange program categories. Depending on the particular category chosen, a visa obtained under the J-1 Exchange Visitor Program will allow a foreign national to work, train, or travel legally experiencing life in the United States.
